Chad is an experienced criminal defense attorney. During his career, he has represented thousands of individuals accused of misdemeanor, traffic, and felony level criminal offenses.

Chad has been lead attorney in numerous criminal jury trials ranging from misdemeanor to first degree (serious) felony level cases as both a defense attorney and a prosecutor. He also engages in an active motion to suppress and motion to dismiss practice that serves to protect the legal rights of his clients. Chad is client-focused, and Chad works to see that each client is afforded all of his or her Constitutional and legal rights.

Chad began his legal career as an attorney in Washington, DC where he worked as a Senior Law Fellow and Staff Counsel at the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), one of the largest civil rights organization in the United States. After finishing his fellowship at HRC, Chad returned to Orlando where he joined the Office of the State Attorney in the Ninth Judicial Circuit and practiced both in Orange and Osceola Counties. As a prosecutor, he handled thousands of cases ranging from DUI and other misdemeanors to felony level offenses. He was also appointed to a special unit that focused on the prosecution of domestic violence crimes.

Prior to opening his own law office, Chad worked as a criminal defense attorney at one of the largest criminal defense firms in Florida where he represented hundreds of individuals accused of criminal offenses in the Central Florida Area. In 2003, Chad opened his own law practice in the heart of Thornton Park in Downtown Orlando (just around the corner from the Orange County Courthouse.)

Chad also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Central Florida (UCF) where he teaches a class on Criminal Trial Procedure and Criminal Constitutional Law in UCF’s Legal Studies and Criminal Justice Department.

Additionally, he attends the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyer’s annual conference, and the Florida Public Defender’s Association sponsored Life Over Death seminar each year.

Chad graduated with a Juris Doctor with Honors from the University of Florida College of Law, and he holds a Master of Arts degree in Public Affairs from University of Florida as well. He attended Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honors in Communication and English. He has been a member of the Florida Bar in good standing since April of 2000.
